Lisburn charity, Stepping Stones NI is asking the people of Lisburn to choose a name for their award winning coffee shop but hurry, because entries close today (Friday).
The charity have put up two names for vote – The Courtyard Café and the Stone Barn Café but are also welcoming other suggestions. A prize of lunch for two is up for grabs.
The charity set up the coffee shop at their headquarters on Seymour Street in 1998 as a training facility for adults with a learning disability difficulty.
It has been a popular eatery for Lisburn people for the last 18 years serving breakfasts and lunches with food prepared and served by their clients under the close supervision of skilled staff.
All profits from the coffee shop are reinvested into the charity to support their work.
Stepping Stones NI also runs The Avenue coffee shop and outside catering from their other Lisburn base on Wallace Avenue as well as a wedding stationery business and a Guild Commended Picture Framing business.
The businesses function as training facilities for their clients to provide a realistic working environment.
The charity’s training and employment arm works with clients to support them to gain sustainable and meaningful employment.
The coffee shop is housed in a stone barn with hundreds of years of history and boasts a bright and spacious courtyard which customers enjoy regularly.
Chief Officer of Stepping Stones NI, Paula Jennings said: “We thought it was time for a refresh of our coffee shop on Seymour Street and we decided that we needed a new name to go with it.
“The people of Lisburn have been supporting us through their repeat custom for the last 18 years and we thought it would be exciting to involve them in the re-launch of this business with the choosing of a new name”.
All entries to be submitted to Ciara Brennan, Marketing & Business Development Manager at firstname.lastname@example.org before Friday 19 February 2016.
