Spring theme for Beekeepers’ guest

DROMORE: Philip McCabe, who is the European Director of Apimondia, the International Beekeeping organisation, will be the guest speaker at Dromore Beekeepers’ Association on Tuesday 17th April when his subject will be ‘Managing Bees in Spring’.

He was President of Apimondia Ireland 2005, the only and very successful Apimondia conference in Ireland. He is also a Past President of the Federation of Irish Beekeepers’ Associations and is currently its PRO.

Philip has spoken in Dromore many times in the past. Both his grandfather and father were beekeepers in Newbliss in County Monaghan and Philip keeps his bees near his current home near Dundalk.

Philip is a most entertaining speaker and illustrates his talks with anecdotes from both the past and from his own wide experience.

The meeting will be held in Dromore High School at 7.30pm.
