Shooting in Dromara

Detectives in Downpatrick are investigating a shooting incident in the Dromara area.

Around 8.40am on Thursday, December 17, two masked men entered a house on Park Road and tied up two males who were in the house at the time.

A third male called to the house and he was also forced into the property and tied up.

The masked men threatened the males before firing a shot into the wall of a room in the house and making off.

Detective Inspector Denise Graham said: “This was a very frightening incident for the men involved and they have been left shaken. No one has the right to intimidate or threaten another person. We would like to find those responsible and we are asking anyone who has information that may assist our investigation to contact us in Downpatrick on 101, quoting ref: 34 171215.”
