Search for picture owner

The owners of Lisburn Art Gallery, based at Bachelor’s Walk are keen to find the owner of a picture that was left into them some years ago for framing.

Proprietor of the gallery Desmond Black, is retiring after running the business for ten years.

The premises are due to close in the next two weeks, so Mr Black who has been in possession of the framed picture for some time is looking for the owner of it to come forward.

The picture is of a boy of about eight years of age, dressed in a communion or wedding outfit.

He is wearing a white striped shirt, polka dot tie and black trousers.

The picture was left in but the owner never returned to collect it and Mr Black believes the child could be in his teens now.

He is not looking for any payment for the picture, but just keen to have it returned to its rightful owner.

“The last thing I want is to throw it away,” he said.
