Salto display to mark Chinese culture week

LISBURN’S Salto Gymnatics Centre, an official training base for China’s Olympic gymnasts for London 2012, is to host a display on Monday (April 16th) as part of Chinese Cultural Week.

The week’s festivities will begin on April 13 with a ceremony in Jordanstown to mark the official launch of Northern Ireland’s only Confucius Institute at the University of Ulster and celebrate the rich culture of China.

An array of events including lectures, musical recitals, Chinese culinary arts and gymnastics displays will take place in the University’s campuses in Belfast, Jordanstown, Coleraine and Magee from April 14 and also in Lisburn, Carrickfergus, Stormont and Belfast City Hall.
