The incident happened at the junction with the Halftown Road shortly before 10am when a blue Vauxhall Combo van travelling along the Moira Road was struck from behind.

Believing it was an accident the driver got out of the vehicle and was attacked by two unknown men who stole a cash box from the van. The driver pursued the men and managed to retrieve the cash box.
