Resurgam hold networking dinner

As part of the Building Relations in Communities (BRIC) programme delivered by the NIHE, The Resurgam Trust held their first ever shared senior citizens networking dinner in LaganView Enterprise Centre on Thursday December 17, 2015.

This event saw a total of 34 senior citizens from the Old Warren, Hillhall, Hilden, Hill Street, Knockmore and Manor Park areas come together for a two course Christmas dinner with carol singing from The Journey Church and entertainment from the duo act, Pat Catney and Paul Porter, The Young Democrats.

Resurgam were able to provide transport to everyone through the use of their community bus.

Adrian Bird, Trust Director said: “This was an extremely worthwhile and valuable event. It is the first time something like this has been organised to bring together senior citizens from different areas. I would like to thank the local Housing Executive for funding this event without which it may not have taken place. This will very much become an annual event and we look forward to planning the next one.”
