Report recommends disciplinary action

A report into the treatment of a Lisburn Councillor by a special advisor to the Social Development Minister has apparently recommended disciplinary action be considered.

The civil service report into the actions of Stephen Brimstone, who was accused of trying to put pressure on Lisburn Councillor Jenny Palmer to change her vote at a Housing Executive Board meeting, is being considered by the Department of Special Development Committee this week.

Committee members have been investigating the allegations, which were made in a BBC Spotlight programme in 2013.
