Ravarnette WI art collection

The President of Ravarnette WI welcomed everyone on a cold evening including its new member, Mrs. Eileen Girvan.

The speaker Mrs. Jean Stewart brought her collection of fabulous Faberge style eggs that she had made.

She explained how they were made from duck to ostrich eggs and the different methods of decoration. They were beautiful works of art. Her friend Mrs. Dorothy Brown read us some poems which were both touching and amusing.

The competition for a miniature clock was won by Rosaline Gabbie. The ballot by Margaret Smyth and the birthday girl for February was Betty Greer.

After a lovely supper the the evening closed with the singing of the Countrywomen’s song.
