Pupils get informative tour of Stormont

PUPILS from Ballymacward PS, Stoneyford and McKinney PS, Dundrod recently visited Parliament Buildings at Stormont as part of their CRED (Community Relations, Equality and Diversity) Project.

James, from the Assembly’s Education Service, guided the children through a lively, entertaining and informative morning, during which they took their seats in the debating chamber, voted in their very own election, quizzed MLA Danny Kinahan and bumped into Ken Reid, UTV’s political editor.

He was kind enough to say hello and answer some questions.

The children are studying various forms of government and have also visited Carrickfergus Castle and Lisburn City Council.
