PSNI Dog Section’s latest recruit: The furry paw of the law


Meet a vital member of the local PSNI team, Zeus the Labrador.

Zeus is 1 and a 1/2 years old and has been fully operational since October 2016.

The picture of the well trained officer was posted by Lisburn PSNI on their Facebook page, promoting the PSNI’s Instagram account.

Dog Section provides the Police Service of Northern Ireland with specialist search capabilities, the ability to track people and look for evidence of criminality.

The Dog Section provides a 24 hour response in keeping our communities safe throughout Northern Ireland and consists of two Sergeants and thirty Constables, all of whom handle and patrol with at least one police dog.
