Police recover £31,000 of drugs following Dunmurry searchces

Officers from Dunmurry Neighbourhood Policing Team have recovered a quantity of suspected herbal cannabis with an estimated street value of £31,000 following a proactive policing operation at residential premises at the Colin Mill, Dunmurry area on Thursday July 3.

A 37 year old male has been arrested on suspicion of possession of Class B drugs with intent to supply, possession of an offensive weapon and the cultivation of cannabis.

Meanwhile a 35 year old man, arrested in connection with the recovery of approximately £7,000 worth of class A drugs in the Cherry Walk area of Dunmurry on Friday July 4, has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Dunmurry Neighbourhood Inspector Peter Brannigan said: “Police continue to tackle the issue of drugs, and today’s seizure and arrest highlights the proactive approach of officers in Dunmurry to make the area a safe place to live for the local community.”
