Police recover cannabis in Lisburn

A 51 year old man was arrested on suspicion of a number of drugs offences. He was interviewed and released on Police bail pending further enquiries.

Commenting on the seizure Chief Inspector Mark Robinson, Lisburn Area Commander said: “Drugs are clearly an issue of concern and officers have been working closely with the local community to tackle the issue of drug supply and distribution. This planned search and the discovery of a cannabis factory illustrates our commitment to deal with drugs in this area.

“Information provided by local people is vital in helping us to identify properties where drugs activity may be taking place. It can also help police track down those involved in drugs distribution in the local area and assist in building up sufficient evidence to shut down their activities and take them off the streets for good. Police encourage local people to contact us if they have suspicions about any person or place, or if they believe they can help us identify those involved in the local drugs trade.
