Petition calls for skateboard park

In June of 88 nearly 1000 school children in Lisburn signed a petition calling on the Council to provide a skateboard track in the town.

The petition which was handed over to the council’s recreation and allied service’s committee by Neil Beattie, a pupil at Friends.

“We just wanted to bring to the Council’s attention the fact that kids in the area would very much like have their own skateboard track,” he said.
