Resurgam remember Freeman Ivan Davis as they choose charity

Resurgam will now use many of their key events throughout the coming months and organise a few new socially distanced events, due to Covid- 19, to help raise funds for their chosen charity.

Adrian Bird Trust Director said: “Most years it’s very hard to decide on which charity to nominate because there are so many deserving causes out there. However, this year it was much easier. Recently we all lost a good friend in Ivan Davis OBE. Ivan was a great supporter of our work and we all held him in high esteem for all the work he did within community over the years as an elected representative. Local charity, Friends of the Cancer Centre was very close to Ivan’s heart, so we unanimously decided to nominate them as our chosen charity in his memory.”

Ana Wilkinson, Corporate Fundraising Manager from Friends of the Cancer Centre said: “We are incredibly grateful to be working alongside Resurgam, with the support of Mr. Davis’ family and all of the money donated this year will directly benefit cancer patients in Northern Ireland and their families. For 35 years, Friends of the Cancer Centre has been dedicated to enhancing the quality of patient care. However, we simply could not do this without the support of organisations like Resurgam and people in the local community.”

A member of the Davis family said: “We are delighted that you have chosen Friends of the Cancer Centre in memory of Dad and as a family we wish you all good luck with your fundraising.”
