During the week the evangelists will be Jonathan Reid, Lloyd Watson and Gilbert Edgerton.

“I can remember being unable to sleep lest I should die and be lost in hell for all eternity.

“But one day I remember so well, I asked the Lord Jesus to be my own and personal Saviour. That was the beginning of a life of service to the Lord Jesus.”

He went on to Faith Mission Bible College at the age of 20 before going into the mission field in England. After working with CEF and Irish Mission for a number of years, he is now a freelance evangelist. “I hope you will come to the mission and hear of the Lord Jesus, who died for you on that cross so long ago.” he added.

Lloyd Watson, who will also speak during the outreach week, grew up in a Christian home and at the age of 15 he was saved at a mission in Connsbrook Congregational Church. Three years later he began to train in full-time Christian work.

“It was my privilege to serve the Lord with the Faith Mission, then to be in charge of the Christian Bookshop in Lisburn,” he explained.

For the past three years he has been involved with Belfast City Mission in the Shankill and Donegal Road area.

“We earnestly pray that many precious souls will come into the mission in Lisburn and will have definite transactions with the Lord.”

The final speaker of the week will be Dr Rev Gilbert Edgerton. He was converted early in life and trained at the Faith Mission Bible College in Edinburgh. He trained for the Independent Methodist ministry and served local churches for many years. Ten years ago he felt called to missionary work in central Africa and has been training and mentoring pastors and leaders, as well as helping to raise funds for the Garden of Hope Centre.

He is a passionate evangelist both at home and abroad.
