No end to Stormont extravagance

WITH reference to Conservative Representative Neil McNickle’s letter on April 20, there are several points that could be made, but there are many bombs not only ticking, but exploding on a daily basis and show no signs of abating.

To learn bodies linked to Government Departments in NI have spent almost £14m on hospitality over the past five years and £800,000 to run the First and Deputy First Minister Office suggests there is no end to the extravagance at Stormont, not to mention similar situations at local government level.

Perhaps Mr McNickle could have a word with his Conservative Secretary of State for NI, whose office splashed out over £11,000 to Civil Servants to watch TV and read newspapers. To also learn Stormont employs a total of 161 Press Officers clearly illustrates how the Province is governed.
