However, it would appear this is now to be expected as individuals who have failed to be selected as a candidate or become dejected for some other personal reasons, choose to go on a solo electoral run rather than remain in the party they had signed up to.

It’s not good for Unionism and it’s certainly odd for any such individual to go under a banner of Unionist Unity.

Obviously such individuals are far from being a unifying force as the very course they have ventured down is one of firstly rejecting the very party or parties they previously held membership of.
