New exhibition by Lisburn artist

LISBURN based artist Rik Peel will be exhibiting a collection of his paintings, entitled ‘What’s in a Face’ at the Carnegie Library in Bangor during June.

“As an artist who suffers from Asperger’s syndrome I have always had some trouble understanding how people communicate,” explained Rik.

“I struggle day to day with the question of what actually is happening behind the eyes of the various people whom I meet. I am both terrified and fascinated by social interaction and it is precisely this dichotomy which drives me to create art.

“This exhibition charts that interest.”

The exhibition runs from June 2 until June 29 and admission is free.
