Midwives to mark birthday

Staff in Lagan Valley Hospital's Midwifery Led Unit will later this month mark five years of serving the families of the Lisburn area and beyond.

A celebration event will take place in the Lagan Valley MLU on February 26 from 11am to 1pm.

The midwives will be showcasing the services they offer in the unit ,including Active Birth workshops, Hypnobirthing, Reflexology and Breastfeeding workshops.

The health improvement and smoking cessation midwives will attend to explain their role within the team.

Other health professionals, such as physiotherapists and members of St John Ambulance, who teach neo-natal resuscitation ,will also be on hand to give advice.
