She appears on the list under her real name, Faye Ann McLeod and has been awarded an MBE for services to Broadcasting and to the community in Northern Ireland.

Candy came to Ireland in 1969 on a flying visit which was to last 44 years after she met the man who would become her husband, Donald McLeod. After a spell in the Republic, they settled in Northern Ireland in 1975, the year before Candy hit the airwaves on Downtown – the start of a 37-year career in local broadcasting.

Candy has just recently moved back to her native Australia.
