Local Centra raises money for charity

ON October 31 Centra in Ballinderry held a Halloween fun day to raise money for Action Cancer.

The day included all staff dressing up, a lucky dip for any children who came into the store, a colouring in competition for the pupils of Ballycarrickmaddy, Ballymacrickett, Ballinderry and Maghaberry primary schools, with various prizes for different age groups.

The prize for best dressed was won by Amanda Kerr, who came in as Jedward Scissorhands with a giant papier-mache head.

Over £820 was collected on the day and added to the rest collected at various staff parties and in the charity tins at the tills. The total has now reached £2196.
