Lisburn transport company drives off with award

MCCULLA Ireland transport company from Lisburn have beaten top opposition to win the top award of transport company of the year at the all Ireland, Irish Transport and logistics and transport awards in the Burlington hotel in Dublin.

The family run firm was up against transport companies from all over Ireland and are the only transport company in Northern Ireland to have won.

The Awards were hosted by Irish Logistics and transport magazine and it’s a great achievement for a transport company from Northern Ireland to win the title of all Ireland Transport Company of the year.

The Irish Logistics & Transport Awards 2012 took place before a packed audience of the top echelon of Ireland’s Logistics & Transport professionals, with Richard Curran of RTÉ’s Dragons Den and Deputy Editor of The Sunday Business Post presiding over the glittering awards ceremony.

The awards venue was packed with nearly 350 representatives from all over Ireland present to applaud the 89 finalists across 18 categories as the prestigious trophies were handed out to loud cheers from winners and their guests. Beaten finalists were rewarded with a special parchment to mark their success in reaching the finals.

The awards attracted over 100 entries, with judges commenting on the overall high standards which made choosing the eventual winners all the more difficult.
