Lisburn schools step up for Walk to School Week

SEVERAL local schools have registered for this year’s Walk to School Week which will take place from May 21 to 25.

The initiative is promoted by the Department for Regional Development’s TravelwiseNI and encourages school children across Northern Ireland to take to their feet to discover for themselves the health, financial, social and environmental benefits of active travel.

To date over 175 schools have registered including Pond Park PS; Wallace Prep and Ballymacash PS.
