Lisburn Ladies Football Club get on their running shoes for charity

There were 18 members of the football club taking part, and raised a fantastic £300 for local life-limited children.

Lisburn Ladies Football Club, Stephen Bingham commented, “As a local community club, we wanted to support a local children’s charity and are inspired by the great work done at Children’s Hospice. Everyone here, especially the kids involved understand that they are fortunate, and wanted to do what they could to help Children that need care offered by the Children’s Hospice. It was a great event which everyone enjoyed, and we hope to work together with the Children’s Hospice again.”

Speaking about the support of Ladies Lisburn Football Club, Matthew Allen, Fundraiser for Children’s Hospice said: “We are delighted to have the members of the Lisburn Ladies Football Club supporting our work. Everyone has worked so hard and really put the fun into their fun run. On behalf of everyone at Children’s Hospice, I would like to thank the LLFC for all their support and for raising such an incredible amount.”

The Children’s Hospice provides respite and end of life care to local life-limited children and young people, as well as providing support to the entire family. Care is available both in Horizon House in Newtownabbey and also in the child’s own home. All donations and support really does make a difference towards the annual fundraising target of £3 million
