Lights, camera, action for young filmmakers

The film ‘Delicate Things’ is the culmination of a short film academy that has been running in Belfast over the last three months.

Under the guidance of industry professionals, the young filmmakers had the chance to develop their talents and skills on the locally made production which features young actor James Stockdale (A Christmas Star) and well known Northern Ireland born actors Paula Malcomson (The Hunger Games, Ray Donovan) and Ciaran McMenamin (Primeval, Shooting for Socrates).

The young people who make up the production crew have participated in a programme of intense and practical training through Cinemagic masterclasses and workshops led by professionals mentors including BAFTA winning and Oscar-nominated Northern Ireland filmmaker, Michael Lennox; Casting with Hubbard Casting, Acting with Bronagh Waugh and Film Production with Jessica Malik and Gareth Ellis-Unwin.

Delicate Things, written by Maire Campbell (A Christmas Star, Punch) tells the story of the Wilson family who have their happy world blown apart one fateful morning.
