Jewellery lessons for Hillsborough WI

HILLSBOROUGH: The ladies from Hillsborough Women’s Institute held their March meeting in the Village Hall.

After routine business the President Judy Cinnamond introduced the speaker Emma Andrews. Emma, a talented jewellery designer gave a short outline of her career and then had members busily making colourful fabric brooches.

Once completed, everyone sported their brooch and agreeing that they had had an enjoyable and industrious exercise.

Sara O’Sullivan proposed the Vote of Thanks. The competition winner was Margaret Murphy with Molly McCleary second.

After supper the meeting closed with the singing of the Countrywomen’s Song.
