The project is entitled ‘Recalling Names, Occasions And Places From The Past’ and involves putting names to old photographs of the loyal orders in Lisburn.

One of the photographs that will be on display is that of Verners Loyal Orange Lodge 915, which was taken on July 12, 1904.

This lodge was later named ‘The Pounden Lodge’ after the Rev William D Pounden, who was rector of Lisburn, a member of LOL 915 and Worshipful Master of Lisburn District for 38 years.

The one person in the photograph that is known at this time is George H. Clarke, JP, who was the Chairman of Lisburn Urban District Council, Worshipful Master of LOL 915 for forty years, and Lisburn Deputy District Master for many years.

Another photograph the Society are hoping to learn more about is that of LOL 206 Lower Broomhedge, which is now named Leslie Memorial LOL 206.

Little is know about the photograph and the Society don’t know where or when it was taken.
