Have a cuppa for charity

A TOTAL of 50 young people from across Northern Ireland are travelling to Romania and Armenia this summer, as part of Habitat’s Youth Build programme, to help families in need build their own way out of poverty. The teams travelling to Romania are calling on local people to take a break on Saturday, April 13, and join them for a cuppa at First Lisburn Presbyterian Church.

The Youth Build teams have been challenged to host a Builder’s Tea Break to raise essential funds which will help transform the future for families in need.

This is fundraising ‘Apprentice-style’ as each team competes to make their Builder’s Tea Break the most successful!

The teams have been hard at work planning unique, fun and taste bud tingling events in Lisburn and Belfast in a bid to be crowned ‘Builder’s Tea Break champions!’

Habitat for Humanity Fundraiser, Karen Dunlop commented: “The young people have been working hard to raise funds and the ‘Builder’s Tea Break’ is a really fun event which everyone can get involved in.

“Each team is taking the competitive element very seriously and is pulling out all the stops to make their tea break the most creative and successful. Tasty treats, lots of fun and a great day out are guaranteed!”

Every penny raised will count in the fight against poverty housing.
