Hard of hearing group enjoy relaxing meeting

There was plenty of time for social activity, ballot and competition while members went in turn for treatment.

In April Ms J Crossley from the ‘Switch over Help Scheme’ came to help members understand turning to digital TV on October 24. A comprehensive list of people eligible for free transfer was given with the £40 payable to others needing assistance. Safety arrangements re visiting engineers were reassuring for the elderly and provision of a champion also available.

The remainder of the evening was occupied with a competition for the best dressed egg which produced some very original ideas. A ballot to raise funds and exchange of books in the book circle.

Arrangements for the AGM in May and special supper to follow concluded the evening.
