Gospel service on DVD

ELEVEN years ago on February 16, 2002 a memorable night took place at Lisburn CWU Hall, when a special evening of Gospel Praise was held. The chief guest was Lagan Valley MP Jeffrey Donaldson, who gave a personal testimony of his commitment to Christ. Others taking part were, ‘The Way to Life Choir’ (Armagh District), ‘New Dawn Quartet’ and gospel soloist ‘Iris Evans’. The service was led by Pastor George Sands of Hulls Hill Pentecostal Fellowship, Lisburn.

The personal testimony, music, and chairmanship of Pastor Sands made this a very happy and joyful occasion and was a night to remember! The Hall was not only packed out to capacity, but many who had queued up in Market Street had to be turned away for lack of room; even the platform was utilised for congregational space.

This event was professionally recorded on video at the time, but as technology has moved on, this has now been copied onto DVD and lasts nearly two and half hours. The audience was captured well on screen, and as some who attended have since passed on, the recording now has sentimental value.

It costs £5 and can be obtained or ordered at Lisburn CWU Hall, Market Street, or by telephoning Mrs. M. Ross on 07598156191 for further details and postal delivery.
