Girl has her nose broken in attack

A 15-year-old girl had her nose broken after she was attacked by a gang of girls in Dunmurry, last month.

Police in Lisburn are appealing for witnesses to the assault of the teenage schoolgirl that took place at the ‘snake path’ in Dunmurry on Monday, May 20.

At around 9.30pm the girl was walking along the path, which runs between Laurelbank and the Stewartstown Road, when she was attacked by a group of five or six teenage girls.

The victim was pushed to the ground and held there by one of the group while the others then punched and kicked her.

She sustained bruising to her face and body as well as a broken nose.

Lisburn police are investigating the incident and would like to hear from anyone who was in the area and saw the group of girls or anyone else who believes they may be able to identify them.
