Gary is runner up at nursing awards

A Four Seasons Health Care nurse from Lisburn has been recognised at the British Journal of Nursing Awards 2017.

Gary Cousins, who works across all Four Seasons care homes in Northern Ireland as an Infection Control and Clinical Development Nurse, was runner up in the Infection Control and Prevention category.

His Four Seasons colleagues Alana Irvine and Joanne Strain were also honoured at the annual awards ceremony in London.

Gary was nominated for this year’s award in resect of his ongoing work in the development and implementation of FSHC’s regional and national work on influenza.

Gary, winner of the BJN award last year, is now a recognised expert and has had numerous articles published in nursing journals and is frequently invited to speak on the topic.

Congratulating Gary and his Northern Ireland colleagues on their awards success, Four Seasons Health Care Managing Director, Carol Cousins commented: “These individual awards for Gary and his colleagues reflect on the dedication and professionalism of all our staff here in Northern Ireland.
