Gallery launches programme

THE Memory of Yarn’, ‘Beauty is the First Test’ and ‘Sooper Sweet’ are forthcoming exhibitions in the new seasons programme launched recently by R-Space.

The programme is a celebrated line up of local and international artists who will be exhibiting at R-Space @ The Linen Rooms Lisburn, 32 Castle Street, from November to June next year.

“R-Space is thrilled to announce its second year of exhibitions in Lisburn’s cultural venue and we are grateful to the Arts Council of Northern Ireland and the National Lottery for funding,” said R-Space Co-directors Anthea McWilliams and Robert Martin. “The exhibitions are accompanied by a workshop programme and artists’ talks, so if you fancy trying your hand at anything from knitting to blacksmithing, then please contact R-Space for further information.”

The first exhibition in the new programme is performance knitter from London, Rachel Gomme who will be presenting/performing her first Northern Irish show entitled ‘The Memory of Yarn’ from November 10–December 22. Rachel has exhibited in Poland, Canada, London and Texas.
