Fundraiser scam warning

Householders are being urged to be vigilant when dealing with door-to-door fundraisers after a man was arrested for possession of counterfeit goods on November 20.

The 22-year-old was arrested in connection to offences in the Glenfearna Wood, Teeling View and Lagmore Dale areas of Dunmurry.

Police advise householders to be careful when dealing with unsolicited callers of any description particularly those asking for money. Many legitimate charities will display their registration number on sponsorship/fundraising forms or assign identification references to individual fundraisers.
