PSNI Lisburn officers arrested four men in the Newtownbreda area on Tuesday, September 27 on suspicion of attempted vehicle theft.
Officers were responding to a report of several males attempting to break into a vehicle in the Bests Hill area in the early hours of the morning.
Shortly after the report, police pulled over a suspect vehicle and arrested four men aged between 19 and 41 on suspicion of attempted vehicle theft, criminal damage and going equipped for theft.
All four men were later bailed and police say their enquiries are continuing.
Local householders have been warned to be vigilant and are urged to report any suspicious activity to police immediately.
