Former Linfield player Billy Craig, who lived in the Lisburn area near the Maze racecourse, died last week after an illness, aged 72.
Billy, who grew up in the Finaghy-Dunmurry area, played for the Blues in the early 1960s period.
He emerged at Windsor Park as a talented teenager who played inside-forward or on the right wing.
He was a well built top-of the-ground ball playing forward whose skills compared well with more illustrious Linfield team colleagues of that era.
His first two senior games were during the Linfield seven-trophy winning season of 1961-62 and he went on to score 25 goals in 86 Linfield appearances.
Billy won Gold Cup, City Cup, Ulster Cup and Co Antrim Shield winners’ medals.
Billy scored in a European Cup tie against Turkish team Fernerbache at Windsor Park in 1964.
