Flute band hold band contest

THE Pride of Knockmore Flute Band holds its 38th annual band competition in the city centre tonight (Friday May 10). The main parade starts from Lisburn Health Centre car park at 8.15pm.

At 7pm the band will first be parading from the Enterprise Centre in Old Warren, followed by a short service at the cenotaph. The event will be held in memory of the men of the 11th Battalion Royal Irish Rifles (South Antrim Volunteers) who fought at the WWI battle of the Somme. Everyone is welcome.
