First Minister, Arlene Foster visited LaganView Enterprise Centre recently to hear about the work that Resurgam Trust is involved in.
Trust Director Adrian Bird said: “We were delighted to welcome the First Minister to our headquarters here in LaganView Enterprise Centre and present the work of the Resurgam Trust.
“During her visit Minister Foster had the opportunity to meet representatives of our member groups and Community Based Social Enterprises.
“The First Minister showed particular interest in our Early Intervention Lisburn Education programs which are currently being delivered by Resurgam in schools and family homes across the Greater Lisburn area.
“We were pleased to have the First Minister endorse the work being carried out by The Resurgam Trust throughout Communities across Lisburn.”
According to the Resurgam Trust, everyone who met the First Minister on the day was very touched by how she went out of her way to speak to as many people as possible, including those who were very busy in the kitchen preparing light snacks for the event.
“It was a great honour to represent Resurgam and to be able to tell the First Minister about my journey with the Resurgam Trust over the last 20 years and how they have helped me to gain and sustain employment,” said Neil Reilly manager, of Resurgam Trust’s Social Enterprise Bar, The Highway Inn.
“I found the First Minister to be very friendly and genuinely interested in not only myself but also the work that I am involved in as part of my role with The Resurgam Trust” said Kirsty White, Community Based Youth Mentor.
Resurgam Trust would like to thank Mrs Foster for taking the time out of her busy schedule to visit them and would also like to take this opportunity to wish her all the best with her new roles as First Minister and leader of the DUP.
