Female entrepreneur session set to be repeated after success

THE first event organised by Lisburn Council’s recently launched ‘InterAct’, a discussion forum for female entrepreneurs, has been hailed as a great success.

InterAct offers free networking events and practical information sessions aimed at addressing business issues and promoting business development.

Local business people and expert guest speakers, Andrew Dobbin of ‘The Business Mind Set’ and Nuala Foley of ‘Full Circle Solutions’ presented at the event on the topics of ‘Networking for Business Growth’ and ‘Sales and Exporting’. Delegates said they found these topics very useful and of benefit to their business.

Alderman Allan Ewart, Vice-Chairman of the Economic Development Committee, officially opening the event.

“Networking and creating business contacts is extremely important for local companies” he said. “I would therefore encourage female entrepreneurs to continue to come along to these free seminars; and have the opportunity to hear expert guest speakers on key business topics and issues while networking with their peers in the Lisburn area.”

Due to the enthusiastic response and positive feedback at the first event, the Council will be holding InterAct events on a quarterly basis.

The next seminar will take place on the 14th June in Lagan Valley Island from 9.30am until 11.00am with guest speaker, Patricia McQuillan from the Labour Relations Agency who will present on the topic ‘HR and Advice’.
