Feeder parades planned for Saturday morning

As well as the main parade in Ballinderry, smaller feeder parades will also be held in the Lisburn area on Saturday morning before Brethren and bands travel to the South Antrim Combine parade.

A number of small parades will be held throughout Lisburn before a larger parade is held in the city centre.

Bands and Brethren are to assemble at Lisburn Orange Hall, Railway Street from 8.15am for the parade to leave at 9am sharp.

The route will be Railway Street, Market Square, Market Street, Linenhall Street, Union Bridge, Gregg Street, Mercer Street, Sloan Street, Union Bridge, to board the buses at Laganbank Road/Linenhall Street. The buses will then make their way to join the rest of the South Antrim combine for the main procession in Ballinderry which is due to commence at 11.30am.

The return parade, returning at approximately 5.30pm, will take the following route after buses return to Enterprise Crescent, Ballinderry Road, Longstone Street, Chapel Hill, Bow Street, Antrim Street, Bachelors Walk, Railway Street to the Orange Hall.

In Dunmurry, Dunmurry True Blues LOL 1046, with Suffolk Melody Flute Band, will be holding a parade in Dunmurry before making their way to the South Antrim Combine parade in Ballinderry.

LOL No 1253 Stoneyford Temperance will be holding a parade in Stoneyford at 9.50am and Hillsborough Lodges will be holding a parade in the village at 10am.

Maghaberry True Blues LOL 86 will hold a parade in Maghaberry village at 9am, LOL No 121 Broomhedge and LOL No 799 Upper Broomhedge will parade in Moira at 9am and LOL No 236 Ballycairn Invincible Purple Star will hold a parade in Aghalee at 9.30am.

The brethren and bands will then travel to the main South Antrim Combine parade in Ballinderry.
