The family of little Ben Murphy, who lost his battle with a rare blood disorder last year, held a family fun day on Saturday to raise funds in memory of their loved one.
In 2013, five year old Ben was diagnosed with a disorder of the immune system called Hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis.
Sadly The Lisburn lad passed away in August last year at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
To mark the first anniversary of Ben’s passing, the Murphy family decided to raise money for the Histio Fund Foundation, which raises awareness and helps to fund medical research, in his honour.
Activities at the family fun day included a bouncy castle, Go Carting track, penalty shoot out, soft play area, face painters and there were even some Disney characters in attendance.
