Liam Houston believes the forecourt will benefit the area greatly as well as local contractors and suppliers and improve the offering to customers.

“This £250,000 development will be an exciting new era for the store with the creation of new jobs which will be good news for the economy,” he said.

“We will continue to offer customers value for money. We thank them for their patience and support.”

David Morrow, owner of the store for the past 12 years, said he believed the forecourt is essential for the area.

“A quarter of a million pounds has been invested in this new store,” he said. “We thank everyone for their continued loyalty.

“The staff for their loyal service and the customers for their continued loyalty and their patience during the past 12 weeks when the work was carried out.”

The impressive £250,000 forecourt branded and supplied by Topaz opened last Wednesday.

With a major refit and fresh paint scheme customers are in for a treat coming to the store.

Indeed the improvements will be evident before you even set foot in the store as the grounds have also been landscaped and the car park resurfaced.

The work has certainly been a fitting way to celebrate Supervalu’s tenth anniversary.

The redevelopment of the store was carried out by Morrow Retail and is set to create full-time and part time jobs.
