Chance to tour new woodland

LOCAL woman Grainne Phillps is inviting the public to tour a new woodland tomorrow Saturday May 5 at 3 Whitemountain Road a new greenspace where up to 1000 trees have been planted, Elizabeth Jane’s Woodland and Forest Foraging area.

The woodland commemorates Grainne’s Great Great Grandmother Elizabeth Jane Phillips.

Grainne of The Little Green Allotments said: “Local people don’t realise the Whitemountain is just on their doorstep, rich in abundant flora and fauna and steeped in history.

“I was delighted to be able to provide a new greenspace. Somewhere to get away from the daily grind, especially to enrich the lives of the younger generations.”

You can go for a tour around the woodland this Saturday May 5 at The Little Green Food and Craft Market where there will be family entertainment and live music at 3 Whitemountain Road Lisburn. All queries contact 07867568976
