Elmwood Presbyterian to hold special festive services

The Christmas season at Elmwood Presbyterian Church begins with the Christmas Tree Family Service on Sunday, December 8, at 11.30am.

The service will be led by Rev Andrew Thompson and the children will bring gifts in aid of Belfast City Mission Christmas Appeal.

Santa will arrive at 6.30pm and everyone is very welcome to join the congregation and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee.

On Sunday, December 15, the evening service at 6.30pm will be led by the choir when the story of Christmas will be told through familiar carols and readings. The children of Elmwood will lead the church into the final countdown to Christmas in a lively service on December 22 at 11.30am and young people will present the Christmas story in music and drama at the evening service at 6.30pm. This service will be followed by carol singing around the local area. Christmas morning sees an Elmwood family gathering at 10am to celebrate Christ’s birth together. Finally the New Year celebrations begin on December 31 at 8pm with a ceilidh and food followed by late night worship to bring in the new year.
