As part of Crumlin Integrated College’s careers and STEM programme the science department has been able to establish links with Randox Laboratories Ltd.

The Year 12 GCSE Double Award Science class visited Randox and received an ‘extremely extensive and interesting’ tour around Randox’s Largy Rd site.
Their guide explained to the pupils both the business and science aspects of the company.
A spokesperson for Crumlin Integrated College said: “Our pupils obtained a real broad insight of the rigorous procedures necessary when dealing with diagnostics and many of the commercial issues involved.
“Hopefully this experience will help our pupils in terms of selecting science as a career or study choice.
“The visit was enjoyed and much appreciated by all.”
The Year 12 science trip to Randox is one of a number of recent trips organised by the school with prefects and student council members recently enjoying a day out.
