The children’s address by the Rev. Alistair Smyth brought the Easter story together with what Easter means to most people these days – eggs.

He did this through characters Mr Extinguish (Eggs-tinguish!), Mr Examine and Mr Excitement.

These large hand drawn egg-shaped characters were linked to emotions at Jesus’ resurrection on the third day.

The Bible reading was from John 19: 38 – 20:18. Rev. Smyth’s sermon was entitled ‘What Was Found At The Empty Tomb’, with the point of ‘They Found...’ followed by – Spices, Grave Clothes, Angels, The Lord.
