Easter celebrations at Moira music school

THE culmination of a great week of music workshops for children and young people at I Got Rhythm Music School in Moira was celebrated with students, their families and friends at an Easter barbecue at the school on Friday April 13.

The school has gone from strength to strength since opening in September 2011 and is now a valued cultural resource in the village of Moira and surrounding areas.

With upwards of 50 students engaged in weekly lessons in piano, guitar, drums, bass guitar, violin and voice, the Music school also provides a band mentoring scheme bring together groups in songwriting and ensemble playing.

The Easter barbecue was the perfect opportunity for all those linked into the school to get together in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.

This gathering was also the first to hear of the school’s newest project, Moira Community Choir, which will be launched in early May. The choir is currently recruiting and if you are interested in getting some more information get in touch at 07939 271 324.
