A team of volunteers of which Rosemary and Valerie are members go to Uganda every year to support the permanent staff. They help teach cookery, craft work, sewing, vegetable growing and have fun activities with the girls.

Valerie and Rosemary feel very privileged to be involved with this work and bring kits of knitted garments and rugs for the babies, and colourful patchwork blankets for the new mums.

Olive Palmer reported on the recent AGM at Balmoral and Rosiland Bloomfield entertained us with her interesting competition entry entitled “From my kitchen window.”

Ruth Beattie won the monthly competition and the ballot winner was Molly Craig.
