Suspected car thief arrested

On Monday August 3 Lisburn police followed up reports of a car crash in the Baillies Mills area.

The PSNI deployed a dog call sign and helicopter to find the driver.

Further enquiries revealed the vehicle had been stolen in a creeper burglary and inside the abandoned car were some personal belongings that matched the description of items taken in that crime.

The police then searched the nearby fields and found the suspect, who was promptly arrested.
